In 2023, Mr. Savard gave an exclusive interview to Le Portail de l’assurance magazine about how he manages Signature Financial Group’s growth strategy by acquiring new customers at a steady pace.
In order to expand his client base, Mr. Savard acquires client portfolios, mainly from advisors nearing retirement (aged over 60), with an average portfolio of approximately 1,000 clients. Signature Financial Group pays between 3 and 5 times the annual value of renewal commissions generated by each portfolio acquired. It is interesting to note that he also favors individual insurance clients, for whom he often pays a multiple higher than this range because of their business development potential.
