David Kennedy has over 25 years of experience in financial services, including insurance, commercial lending, and manufacturing. The board of directors views David as a strategic financial manager and a partner.
David is currently CFO of Dorel Home, a world leader in home furnishings listed on the TSX (DII.B).
Prior to joining Dorel, David began his career at PwC, specializing in accounting, tax, auditing and general business practices with large multinationals and SMEs.
He later became Chief Financial and Compliance Officer at Mirabaud Canada Inc., a full-service brokerage and securities firm. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Dale Parizeau Morris Mackenzie Inc. and Mass Insurance Brokers Limited, both insurance brokerage firms.
Most recently, David was CFO at IOU Financial Inc, a commercial lender to small businesses, where he was responsible for financial reporting, treasury, taxation, corporate finance, capital markets and investor relations (formerly a TSX-listed company).
DaviDavid is a CPA and a graduate of McGill University. He also holds degrees in economics and political science from the University of Toronto.
Gilles Séguin is head of the securities group at BCF Avocats d’affaires s.e.n.c.r.l., and is recognized as one of Quebec’s leading specialists in exempt market securities.
A pillar of the firm, his expertise also extends to mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, takeover bids, public offerings and private placements.
With over 30 years’ experience, he advises many foreign companies from Europe, the United States and South America as they set up operations in Canada.
He also has extensive experience in the legal and commercial aspects of complex industrial projects.
Over the past 15 years, Jean-François has worked as a passionate IT specialist, overseeing the integration, optimization and automation of new technologies in major financial organizations.
He has held numerous positions in the IT field, overseeing product integrations and strategic migrations of mission-critical systems.
He is also a full-time real estate investor who understands the financial strategy behind acquisitions and asset ownership.
Jean Christophe is the owner of an accounting firm specializing in taxation and corporate restructuring.
He has extensive experience in business acquisition, valuation and financing.
Inspired by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing, William earned his Canadian Securities Course certification in addition to his bachelor’s degree in International Business from Concordia University in order to become a financial advisor.
